Unsortd
Privacy and Support
Last updated 9 October 2026
This page is the privacy policy and support page for Unsortd,
an iPhone app for sorting your photo library: swipe a photo into the trash or
file it into an album. The short version: everything happens on your iPhone,
and nothing about your photos ever leaves it.
Privacy policy
- Nothing leaves your iPhone. The app contains no network
code. It sends nothing to us or to anyone else: no photos, no metadata, no
usage data.
- No account. There is no sign-up, no login and no server.
There is nothing to create and nothing to delete.
- What the app reads. With your permission, the app reads
your Photos library on your iPhone to show your photos, list your albums, file
photos into albums and delete the ones you choose. It uses each photo's date,
whether it is a photo or a video, and whether it is a screenshot. Nothing else
about a photo is read.
- What the app keeps. One small file in the app's own
storage on your iPhone lists the photos you have put in the app's trash. It
holds Photos' identifiers for those photos, never an image or any metadata, and
it is excluded from device backups. Deleting the app deletes it.
- Deleting is always your choice. Nothing is deleted until
you tap Delete in the app's trash and confirm in the iOS prompt. Deleted photos
go to Recently Deleted in Photos, where you can recover them for 30 days. If
iCloud Photos is on, a deletion applies on all your devices, just as it does
in the Photos app.
- iCloud Photos. If your originals are in iCloud, the app
shows the preview already on your iPhone and never downloads the original.
- No analytics, no tracking, no ads. The app contains no
analytics or advertising code of any kind, first- or third-party, and it is
free with no purchases.
Because Unsortd collects no data, there is no data to sell, share, retain or
request a copy of. If any of this ever changes, this page will say so plainly
first.
